Codecademy is the Mavis Beacon of learning to program.

As a kid, I learned to type properly (not the two finger method) by using Mavis Beacon typing tutorial on my Apple IIe. Codecademy.com and LearnStreet.com offer very similar step-by-step instructions to learning to code and I'm loving it! Hopefully they can take me from the "two finger typing" level of coding I'm at now to 100 words per minute!
